Finals

It is finals week! Crazy, I know, and I haven't had much time to do anything web related since I started back to school.

I am doing good, looking to pass all of my classes.

I upgraded my phone because my Motorola Atrix phone was a major POS, and Motorola stated that it was no longer getting updated. That is BS for a phone that was barely a year old, and still running Gingerbread and completely buggy. So, since that soured me on Android completely, I upgraded to a Nokia Lumia 920 Windows Phone 8, and I couldn't be happier. It just works. Not any deal breaking bugs, it is refined, and it is extremely smooth. Like, butter smooth. It also has an extremely nice camera.

I can't see android giving me this experience anytime soon.

T.A.A

I finally got hold of TAA, and I have a meeting in the next day or so! That is great news! I get to find out if they are going to pay for what I want to go to school for or if I will have to change my major, yay. Surely they will pay for a Computer Science degree; programmers are always needed. Plus, I can always teach something with a BS so that is a double plus.

So far my first semester back has been great. I am enjoying all of my classes and doing well. It is awesome to not have to go into a factory every day. Instead, I get to better myself. It is an awesome feeling, and it makes me wish I would have stayed in school when I had a scholarship. Oh well, I get a second chance and I am not going to blow it.

College Student Again

I am now in my first week of college (again). I first went in 1995 when I graduated high school, but I just quit going. I don't know if it was just being burnt out or being stupid, but I just quit going mid semester. I ended up getting all failing grades in all of my classes except tennis, which doesn't count anymore.

Fast forward to this year. I get to retake the classes I failed (I am not retaking all of them this semester, but I will end up retaking them). I get to learn again, and I get to feel better about myself because I am learning and pursuing the degree that I want. I am going this time for me, not for everyone that thought I should go just because I had a scholarship, This is what I want to do, no, what I need to do. It really makes me happy to be able to make something of myself and do something I enjoy.

My major is computer science, and hopefully I am able to learn all of the math that is involved with that major. I am 35 years old, and they say learning is harder when you get older. So far, college seems easier to me than it did 17 years ago. They hold your hand for a lot of things now, and actually help you if you need it. The professors/teachers don't seem to be bothered by a problem now like they used to be. They want you to succeed. Maybe if they would have been like this the first time around I would have stuck with it.

I have only been for 2 days, but I am completely loving it. I really feel like I belong now, and doing what I need to do to be happy.

More on this later, I will keep everyone updated.
